Foundation

Background

James’s father, Thomas Blake Sr., lost his battle with gastric cancer in 2004. Since 2008, the James Blake Foundation has supported the efforts of the Thomas Blake Sr. Memorial Research Fund, which was launched in memory of James’s father and is dedicated to the early detection of cancers commonly discovered in later stages.
In 2013, the Foundation surpassed the $1 million dollar mark in total funds raised for the fight against cancer.
